Our First Trip to The Zoo!

Sofia could hardly contain her excitement over her first trip to the zoo. She showed me her impression of a tiger clawing as we waited patiently for Daddy to use the facilities.

She wasn't all that impressed with the elephants. She definetely enjoyed watching the monkeys jump around.

Shortly after our trip to the zoo was cut drastically short as the tornado sirens went off & we were running for shelter as a torrential thunderstorm hit. Hopefully next trip we will actually get to see the whole zoo...

Happy Birthday Daddy!

You have turned into such a sweet little Daddy's girl. You get the biggest smile on your face whenever he walks into the room. It just melts my heart to pieces. You saved up for weeks for Daddy's present & he was so surprised when he opened it - a family day at the zoo. What a thoughtful little girl you are. Happy Birthday to the best Daddy in the whole wide world!! xo

Forgot to Mention Our 1st Mothers Day!

Totally forgot to post about our very first Mothers day last Sunday. Must have been all the excitement. We went to church & then on to brunch at Osteria Marco. You then took a long nap which gave us time to finish planting the garden. That was a very nice Mothers Day gift!

Sofia can't stop asking when her new little cousin Caden will be here! Well it won't be long now... Thinking of you guys & sending lots & lots of love & a very speedy recovery to Erin. We think Jaeda will just love being a big sister - it's really the best job ever!! xo's

Happy 4 Months!!

This 4 month milestone is starting off with a bang. You have mastered holding your head up & actually enjoy being on your tummy instead of the total nuclear meltdown that occured in those previous 3 months. You were introduced to some yummy organic brown rice cereal in your formula & now you won't even think about drinking a bottle without it. This magical concoction has just about banished the late afternoon cranky monster from our home. You have discovered your feet & just can't get enough of grabbing onto those cute little piggies. Your rolling over skills are also moving along nicely. You started music class last week which made you giggle & smile so much that you simply passed out in my arms from all the excitement. You are quite the maestro on the baby maracas. You had your 4 month check up & round of immunizations (oh the horror of seeing your little face turn 62 different shades of red). You are officially a baby genius - as it was confirmed you are 2 to 3 months ahead in your cognitive development. You go girl!
